Hi everyone,

We have a public beta of Nisus Writer Pro 1.0.2 available for download. The main purpose of this release is to provide Leopard (OSX 10.5) support, but it also has some fixes and macro additions.

Cheers,
~Martin

Hi!

I installed 10.5 yesterday and downloaded NWP 1.0.2 beta. Haven't done any work yet, but I stumbled across one issue immediately. The app crashes every time I close a document.

One question out of curiosity (and a little bit of hope/wishful thinking): 10.5 comes with a grammar checker for English. Are there any plans to make that accessible from within NWP?

Have a good weekend,
Martin

I have been having the same type of crash after a document is closed. I have sent feedback to Nisus Soft and Apple.

links inside the program

I have links inside some of my files --- to open other program.

Example: inside my blog template I have a link to MarsEdit

Instead of opening MarsEdit, it just shows me the program in finder.

not sure if this is because of NWP-b or OSX

not sure

Not sure if it matters but I tried opening the linked fine from NWP 3 and get the same reaction

help file missing?

Is it correct that the help file is not available for the beta version (yet)?

drag copy

I am not sure what it is called ---- drag copy?

When I highlight a selection then click on it and drag it to another spot ANd holding down the option key so I am pasting a copy....

before and with other programs I can do it on the same line right behind the orginal, with NWP 1.0.2 b I have to drag to another line

Hope that makes sense

Thank to those the submitted feedback report to us- we're looking into the crashes.

That's correct. However, the help file's content won't change for 1.0.2, so the old help file is still up to date.

I think I understand what you are trying to do, but I'm not having any trouble. For me, it makes a copy of the dragged text when I release the mouse. Instead of making a copy of the dragged text, what happens?

We would like to make it available in NWP, but definitely not for 1.0.2. Perhaps for a later upgrade.

I would guess this is a change in how OSX chooses to handle requests to open links to applications. Probably Apple decided this behavior was safer.
