Hi! Small problem -- just installed Leopard, and all of a sudden my font of choice -- Palatino -- is now longer showing up in my NWP 1.02 list. I'm glad to say I can type it into the box, and it still gets applies to the document, but it would be nice to have it back in the toolbox.
Thanks. Candace

That's certainly odd, it shows up in my font list in NWP 1.0.2 under Mac OS X 10.5.1. Does it show up in TextEdit?

No. The font list in Text Edit, like the font list in NWP, now goes from Osaka straight to Papyrus, with no Palatino in between.

I am running OS 10.5.1, NWP 1.0.2.

The identical behaviour of TextEdit demonstrates that whatever is causing this weirdness it's not a Nisus issue, it's something in Mac OS X (or perhaps a utility; are you using a third party font utility or something?)

No, I'm not using a third party font utility. Or any utility, as far as I know.

Hi -
still on Tiger - but does Apple's "Font Book" Utility list Palatino, any comments? Is Palatino font still in "Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts"? or in any other FONTS folder concerned? Run a search and locate maybe duplicates?

Dear Elbrecht,

Thank you so much!!! You are the brilliant one. I ran a search for Palatino (which was not showing in the Apple font library) and it said "Palatino -- not installed." I pressed "Install," restarted the computer, and presto!
Thank you so much for resolving this small but very annoying problem. Cheers and Happy New Year! Candace

Well -
as still on Tiger - I wonder: is this a Leopard special? - did Palatino NOT work from the very beginning? There were troubles with Palatino around - maybe a new/different version coming with Leopard? My still Tiger version: 3.8

When I was in Tiger (10.3.9), I had no problems with Palatino, which showed up in the Nisus font list. So yes, it is a Leopard issue --- but now it's solved. Thanks again.
