when selecting an indexed word and displaying the indexing palette, one can check the details of that particular reference

now, two arrows in the bottom right corner should show the previous or next index entry applied to the selected text…

is it just me, or these buttons simply do nothing?

The buttons appear to work just fine, allowing me to jump to the previous/next indexing entry applied to the selected text. Are your buttons enabled, or do they simply do nothing when clicked? Are you sure the text you have selected has more than one indexing entry applied?
