Current Trial for Nisus Writer Pro

Hi, I'm a newbie and had an old copy of Nisus Writer Express. I had saved all my old documents from that program.

Now each time I open an old document from Writer Express it's converted by the trial program Nisus Writer Pro. What happens to these converted docs if I decide not to buy Writer Pro? Will I be unable to open them anymore?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I rarely use trial programs and don't know if there are any consequences.

Thanks!

I think you may have old nisus writer files (from the pre-OSX days) and not nisus writer express, which is a OSX software.
Isn't it the case?
In any case, I would recommend you to save copies of the old files, no matter what you decide to do later. it is a safer habit than converting the only copy..
you can always open the converted files with an RTF reading software.

Do you know if the files you have are Classic Nisus Writer files, as Ruchama hypothesizes, or just RTF files saved by Nisus Writer Express? But in either case, you will still be able to open these files, even if you decide to delete the trial version of Nisus Writer Pro. Classic files can be opened in Nisus Writer Classic, and RTF files can be opened by lots of software, Nisus Writer Express included.
