Problem Saving files to an existing folder

I am having problems saving files to existing folders. For example, I want to save the folder "Notorious Charles Smith" to an existing folder entitled "M.E Folder" It doesn't work.. Any suggestions..

Unless you are trying to create a smart folder, click on the cross and then save the file.
To save a smart folder, the Save button is to the left under the cross.
