Font Family dialogue box in Tools "slider"

I've been using Nisus for many years and am using Nisus Pro on a "golf-ball" Mac running 10.5.8. However, I don't think this system causes the problem because this is the machine I've been using for a few years. This problem has only just recently occurred. The Font Family dialogue box has lost it's slide bar. The fonts still show up there but you can only get to them by clicking the down arrow on the keyboard.

I downloaded another copy of Nisus and replaced my existing copy but nothing changed (i.e. I still don't have a slide bar). I haven't messed with the Apple font folders (I wouldn't know how to) but I can't see how that would cause the problem. I have a MacBook Pro and Nisus works well on it and has the slide bar. I can move Nisus documents between the two machines and still have no slider on the desktop and the slider on the notebook.

I have attached a file with a screen grab of the Font Family dialogue box.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Bryan

Try to resize the Character palette vertically by dragging the tiny rectangle at the bottom of it. Make it larger and smaller.

Hello Kino

Thanks, that worked. I haven't even noticed those tiny lines before.

All the best

Bryan

That's the problem with the stupid gray on gray Mac interface. We have millions of colors but we have an interface that is most just one step above the tonal range of of the original beige Mac 6800 redsulting in things being hard to see. Great idea.

Cheers, Geoff
