indexing that skips some sections

Hi
I'm new to NWP and have what I hope is a simple question about indexing.

At the moment I am working on a book consisting of fifteen chapters. I am trying to build an index of all authors cited in the book. So far I have found NWP both powerful and intuitive ... up to a point. What I need to do is skip some parts of the book for this index, specifically the reference list of works cited that comes at the end of each individual chapter. My question is this: is there a way to build an index for the whole book that ignores certain parts of the book?

Thanks

After you have finished marking the document for indexing, select an entire section of the document that you don't want to be indexed and apply the command 'Remove Indexing' from the Insert:Index menu.
This will remove all index marking from marked text for indexing in the selection.

Thanks! That's great. I just tried it and it worked.
