Oddity in recognition of hyperlinks

I have a list of people and their email addresses. NWP recognizes all the email addresses for what they are.
double click on them and Eudora leaps into action ready to send a message.

However, one address (in my list) doesn't work …@bigpond.com. It's a valid address, but it has to be made into a hyperlink manually. …@bigpond.com.au works automatically, but not the alternative without the .au.

Why? :?:

When you say that NWP recognizes all the other email addresses, do you mean when you export to PDF? Or for some other purpose? Perhaps you could send me the document with the offending email address, thanks.

Oh gawd, I've done it again. Written about something when I was a bit tired and trying to do something in a hurry. Ignore it, please, Martin. I've just realized that the original was a translation from a Word doc (which I now don't have; I deleted it having opened it in NWP and saved the RTF, and that, in turn, was derived from an Excel file, which I do have but the email addreses in question were added after the information left Excel. Oh dear! :o
