Cannot delete text box (2.0.2 on OS 10.6.8)

Hello, all.
I inserted a text box and then put a table inside of it. I later deleted the table from inside it and want to delete the text box. Unfortunately, although I can select the text box, I cannot delete it. If I insert another text box, I can write in it, manipulate it and then delete it with no problem (and the newly created one has the line going to an anchor). I noticed that the old un-deletable text box does not have that line. Can someone help me get rid of it? Thank you.

I might have an explanation for your experience. There are essentially two editing modes associated with floating text boxes:

1. The first mode occurs after you first click the floating text box exactly once to select it, before entering its editing area. When you are in this mode the box will appear completely filled with your selection color (eg: light blue).
2. After you have selected the text box (the first mode), if you click inside it again, you enter the second mode. In this mode the box no longer appears filled with your selection color, but the selection handles (at the corners of the box) remain visible. Once you are in this mode you may freely select and edit the text (and tables) inside the box.

The important thing is that one can only delete a floating text box when the first mode is active. Once you've entered the second mode, you can only delete text inside the box, so you'd first need to exit the second mode (by clicking outside the box).

Hopefully that explains it. If not, please let us know.
