Bug: Caption Color Reverts when in 'depends on' color style

Hi,
I'm working with captions in NWP2.
I noticed that two of my captions embedded in a blue colored text paragraph had become blue, which seemed odd; but one didn't (out of three shapes that are in a section of blue paragraphs) so I changed the two odd-balls back to black.
Then this happens:
1. The captions can be changed back to black at first, but:
2. After closing and re-opening the document, the captions revert to blue.
--Then I tried changing and applying the caption styles as black again (although there's no blue in the caption style anyway).
Still reverts to blue on re-opening.
--Then I tried selecting 'all' in the caption box and making sure everything in there is changed back to black.
Still reverts to blue on re-opening.
However, then I note that the paragraphs the two blue captions are 'floating' in (as 'moves with paragraph'), are styled blue by INHERITING it from another style, whereas the one that worked correctly wasn't inheriting the blue; it was directly blue; it was the parent style.
That appears to be where the problem lies:
After more testing, I can reliably produce the bug this way:
BUG:
--if the paragraph containing the shape box has INHERITED the blue (is 'based on') a blue style, then closing and opening the document incorrectly re-applies the blue to the shape caption and discards the black that I applied to the caption.
BUT,
NO BUG:
-- if the paragraph containing the shape box is itself originally styled as blue, the caption of the shape can be normally changed to black and won't revert; it can stay black on re-opening.
I've only worked it through in the one series of instances, so perhaps there's something else going on as well.
Can anyone reproduce this?
Any easy workaround?
It occurs to me that I can set up a new style that's not a 'depends on' style, for these particular boxes; and I'll do that it there's nothing easier, but I have those 'depends on' styles set for a reason and I don't really wish to take them out of the flow of what happens to the original styles.
[Edit Later]
I did find an easy workaround: if I make the captions not perfect black, but just slightly towards grey (but they look black, ie, 98% black), then Nisus registers this as a 'color' and doesn't override with the inherited style.
