Is there a way to move an "anchored" text box to a far distant place in a document? Or is there a way to make a non-anchored text box that "floats" wherever he wishes to put it? Example: Text box is made in the middle of p. 3 and then author wishes to put it in the middle of p. 5. I have had trouble moving the anchor. I know in Word for Mac I can do this quite easily.

Can one place a text box within a text box? Will the "subordinate" box move with the "superior" box, or will they move independently?

You can use drag-drop as usual, but that can be tedious if the destination is distant enough. I would recommend that you select the floating text box, cut it, then place your selection in the destination paragraph, and paste.

This is not possible. Only floating text boxes (those with anchors) allow wrapping text around them.

You can't directly nest text boxes inside one another, but you can group floating objects of any kind (including text boxes). So you could create a group of floating text boxes that all move together. Another option is the "Canvas" shape, which acts very similarly to a group. Let me know if you have any questions on this.
