Converting .rtf documents with images to html and/or pdf

I have been making tables with Nisus for years (the very best program for tables!). I convert them to html, and they usually upload quite easily.
I have just finished making some tables in.rtf with images. They took a long time to make. Well, I just noticed that after exporting to .html, the images are lost, and in its place, a blue box with a question mark remains.
Any suggestions on how to export the files and keep the images?
(Note-saving the tables as .pdf files maintains the images, but puts page breaks in unseemly places which destroy the continuity of the table. Adobe has a function "Create PDF Online." Would this alleviate the problem? )
Thanks muchly,
Michael
