Hi everybody!

I think I already done it, but I just can't remember how (isn't it annoying?) and searching (Nisus Manual, the forum, the internet) didn't help me to get the solution.

Well, what I am trying to do is to insert automatic numbers into my text. I have looked into Inser > Automatic Numbers (if the translation matches it) but this isn't what I am looking for. I have a catalogue, and I want to number the entries, and make sure that I can move them and won't need to adjust the numbers.
Anyone willing to guide me through this?

In NIsus you can make a series of automatic numbers, which remain in order, using a list style. You can use the pre-defined list styles or make your own. If your list will have other text intervening, make sure to check the option to "Continue numbering across document content."

This triggers another question: how to style the list style? It looks like the style of the list items depends upon its position in the document and the style in that point. If I select it and choose a style from the paragraph style list it will apply to the list item. Nontheless I would like to set a predefined style, and I do not succeed in it.

Yes, generally it's best not to put style attributes on the list style. Instead you should define a Paragraph style and include the list style as part of the definition. Then use the Paragraph style to create the numbered list.
