Default ligature

How do I turn the ligature off permanently by default? I am using Nisus for Farsi text and do not want ligatures to be on by default. Even when I turn them off, every time I cut and paste the text or re-open the file, ligatures are turned on again.

Thanks,
Afshin

You will have to edit your Nisus New File (dot file) which you use for Farsi.
This dot file can be edited from NWP's Preferences=>New Document=>Advanced=>Edit File...
Open the dot file to edit it by pressing the 'Open for Editing...' button.
Then from the Format:Ligatures menu, set the option you want.
Save the file and close it.
All new Farsi documents created subsequently will apply the ligature settings saved in the dot file.

Also, note that when you copy Farsi text from elsewhere to paste in your files, the ligature attribute in the copied text is also copied. To avoid pasting any unwanted ligature attribute from this copied Farsi text, paste the text as 'Paste Text Only' from the Edit:Paste menu (Command-Shift-V).
