On X 10.7.8 I can not drag (and drop) text no more? And only in NWP.

What is going on? How can I solve this?

I'm sorry you experience difficulties with Nisus Writer Pro.

I don't know why this would be the case. We've no other such reports. What happens if you quit and restart?

Can you never do drag and drop? It may be that there is a very long lag-time between selecting and dragging.

I had a similar problem with option drag-and-drop not working in Nisus, and only Nisus, for well over a year [OS 10.6.8]. Then a couple of weeks ago I found that it was suddenly working. I never did bother reporting it, but would be interested to know if other people have had similar problems.

Can you please send in a feedback report using the menu Help > Send Feedback after you try to drag-drop some text and NWP fails? Be sure to checkmark the option to include system/diagnostic information, so we can see if the problem generated some log information. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback report Matze. I've taken a look and this is actually a known issue affecting some users. It's not fault of your own; there's no preference to disable drag-drop in OSX or NWP. This is a bug we're definitely going to fix in the next NWP update.

In the meantime, you should be able to avoid the problem by switching the document view to Draft View. However, if the problem has already occurred in a particular document in Page View, you might need to first switch to Draft View, save the document, and then reopen it, to clear away the errant state.
