Emacs Keystrokes

Post by raydaniel »

Hi,

It's great that Nisus supports some Emacs keystrokes. Is it possible to take it further, for example to have ^s for Find and ^x^s for save?

Thanks!

The keybindings available from within NWP are probably limited to the Coca text system which NWP builds upon. A description on what it is possible to achieve with those can be found here:

However, what you want to accomplish is possible with Karabiner:
https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/

Among others Karabiner comes with a predefined set that emulates Emacs C-x C-s and friends to Mac equivalents. I haven't used those, but I am very satisfied with the program (which is free, so you should donate if you use it ;)). Like the people at Nisus, the developer responds quickly and goes out of his way to help users.

Martin
