adding document/file to existing NWP document

This is really a naive question, but I can't find a solution in the manual. I come from MS Words, where there is an option 'Import File', which I cannot find in Nisus Pro
what I want to do is simple, I have one document open and would like to be able to 'import' another file, starting where the marker is.
I have two workarounds, but they are clumsy:
1: copy and paste text in. Not practical for large multipage documents
2. dragging the icon for the external document into my existing document, sometimes difficult to locate on multiple disks, and insert point is experienced as random
my native language is danish, so the menu items have different words compared to help-file
ANY one got an answer?
thank you

Why is it "difficult to locate on multiple disks"?
It doesn't make any difference here whether you use Word or Nisus, in both cases you must locate the document you want to import, either by
A) navigating to it in Finder or by
B) using the Insert File dialog box in Word which I personally find superfluous once you start using drag and drop which is much faster and easier.

Maybe your caret is too thin. To make it clearly visible, go to the Preferences > Appearance and change the the
with of the Insertion point to at least 3 pts, and make sure you have
"Caret blinks on/off" enabled.
You can of course also open the document you want to import, then do Select All and finally drag the whole text into your first document. Or you open it, and then drag the Proxy icon directly into the first document. That's an easy way if it's a large document (and thousand times easier than using the Insert File dialog box in Word).
P.S.
Proxy icon is the small icon you see in the Titlebar, located on the left side of the document title.

I agree that for simpler items drag and drop is straightforward... but dragging is really a drag, in my experience, sometimes the mouse is over the edge of its track surface etc. and you cannot 'pause' (to sneeze or...) that will land you dragged content somewhere in limbo, most often, and the I have had to locate it on my disks.
its like you cannot jump a ditch in two steps.
using a 'insert file' command window, allows you to pause and then continue typing...
so I still thing it a fine practical feature to have TOO.
kind regards
