I have access to a large set of books that I can paste into a new document so that I can annotate it, index it and essential to the task...maintain the original formatting and the individual pages as it was in the original document? It's likely not possible. Then again, I have found Nisus Writer Pro can do a lot that other document processors can't do. Any ideas would be more than welcome!

I suspect the answer will depend on knowing the format of the text you want to paste (or open) (doc, docx, rtf, some electronic publishing format, etc), and whether or not that format enables detecting where the pages break.
