Nisus^® Software, Inc. announces Nisus Writer Express - The Amazing Word Processor for OS X.

Solana Beach, CA - April 25, 2003 - Nisus Software announces the public beta release of the all new OS X word processor, Nisus Writer Express.

Nisus Writer Express has been written from the ground up in Cocoa to take full advantage of the advanced technologies of Mac OS X both now and into the future.

"A little more than 14 years ago we released the first version of Nisus Writer, now dubbed 'Classic Nisus Writer'. Today, we are pleased to release Nisus Writer Express, beginning a new era for Nisus Software, as we enter our 18th year of software development for the Macintosh," says Nisus Software President and CEO Jerzy Lewak.

Nisus Writer Express comes with a new, user-friendly interface that takes full advantage of aqua, industry standard RTF, plain text and unicode support, a customizable interface, fully scriptable (AppleScript, menu based and Perl macros), an exclusive tooldrawer and the ability to open and save as Microsoft Word(TM) documents (.doc).

There are also Classic Nisus Writer features such as multiple, editable clipboards, non-contiguous selection, the trademark Nisus Writer powerful find and replace, user definable keyboard shortcuts and Classic Nisus file format support.

Nisus Writer Express requires a G3 or better and Mac OS X 10.2 or later.

Nisus Writer Express will sell for $59.95. Licensed users of Nisus Writer 6.0 and above will be able to purchase it for only $34.95.
