Review threaded comment conversations

If more that one comment has been added to the same snippet of text a threaded conversation is established. You can read all the previous comments that have been added by you and/or others to any specific portion of text. All comments are always visible (unless you are viewing comments by only specific authors, as explained in the section: “Display comments of a particular “author”” below. You can collapse or reveal each comment in the thread by clicking the reveal triangle on the left edge of the comment’s title bar.

To read the next comment in your document choose the menu command: Tools > Comments > Go to Next Comment.

If the comment is collapsed (as is that of Reuben Simons in Figure 454) Nisus Writer Pro will open the comment.

To read the previous comment in your document choose the menu command: Tools > Comments > Go to Previous Comment.

You cannot circulate through the comments back to the beginning. When you reach the first or last comment, Nisus Writer Pro will beep, indicating it has reached the beginning or end but it will not circle back.

Once a comment history has been established (as in Figure 454) you can only edit the most recent comment, and only if you are its author.
