Link appearance

There are many kinds of links you can add to your document text:

Link to a location on the Internet

Link to a File

No matter how you add a link, Nisus Writer Express also adds a character style called Hyperlink to the linked text, and to your document’s style sheet. By default this style is blue and underlined.

The formatting enforced by the Hyperlink style is shown in printouts and PDFs just like other style formatting. You can modify the appearance of the style, or remove it altogether in your document’s Style Sheet.

If you do not want linked text to show any Hyperlink style formatting, but still want to distinguish such text on screen while editing, you can configure the Hyperlink color in your Appearance Preferences. The preference coloring is never shown in printouts and PDFs.
