I am not a geek. The word "template" makes me see red. Please don't use it in my presence!

A stationery document is a template (sorry about that, no more) document which when saved can be reused. When you open a stationery document, Nisus Writer automatically transfers its contents to an untitled document. The stationery file can contain text and graphics just as a regular Nisus Writer document does, or it can be an empty file used only to set up the starting font, style, and size, ruler settings, and any aspect of the window, including its size, position on screen, state of the rulers, etc. Any menu command that you can check or uncheck you can save as part of a stationery document. You may save as many stationery documents as you wish, wherever you want them.

Creating and using "stationery" files for specific tasks saves you time. For example, create different stationery for letters, memos, reports, and forms. To access stationery quickly, add them to your Essential Files list. You can create as many stationery files as you want. A stationery file always opens as an untitled file.

There are several methods for creating stationery files. No matter which method you use, always look over the file before saving it as stationery. For example, be sure to delete the markers, styles, and rulers you won't need.

Special Stationery Files

Nisus Writer ships with a folder in the Nisus Writer Folder called Nisus Writer Tools. This has within it a folder called Stationery. Nisus Writer can use the files in this folder (or files with these reserved file names) for special purposes. You can use the four specially named stationery files as you would the Nisus New File. Simply move these files to the Stationery folder inside the Nisus Writer Tools Folder. Nisus Writer automatically uses these files for formatting specific documents.

OK, so, how do I make my own?
