YES –
that's what I found out, too – some old TTF fonts didn't work anymore : OPEN in Fontographer and SAVE AS OTF – that's it!

Yes – "Keyboard Viewer" is the way to explore what's at hand. But then you have to remember all these combinations – I prefer to use 1) "PopChar.app" for rare characters missing in my "Ukelele.app" done 2) German Extended Keyboard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotatio...

Re: hebew and number and units in the same line
OK – guess the problem you encounter is concerning the ambiguity between the old MICRO sign and the Unicode small letter MU – depending on what font and what keyboard you use. The MICRO is just a symbol – not a letter proper – that‘s why handling text your way does not work without entering addition...

Re: Export to epub problem
Hi Kadah – not used to Export as EPUB – concerning the trick with Small Caps: TWO different kinds of Small Caps get displayed in Nisus. REAL Small Caps are Font generated, "faked" Small Caps are Nisus generated. You got a Font with REAL Small Caps? Otherwise Nisus will "fake" Sma...

Re: Soft Hyphen
Hi – chances are, that some fonts will do – I did some trying too. It looks like Apple's text engine supports this feature in "smart" OpenType Fonts – just generating alternative ".otf" files did the trick. I customized my old MT fonts around the year 2000 – so old fonts are stil...

Re: Soft Hyphen
Again – the softhyphen thing is completely mixed-up from the very beginning – my customized fonts worked, or worked not, I never knew. I just find out my good old TrueTypeFonts don't work, but generating OpenTypeFonts from the same database works for me now – again! My fonts have the same glyphs for...

Hi –
what way do you enter Soft-Hyphen? Did you try via PopChar – the Soft-Hyphen glyph seems to be contained in the font, or?

Re: Bulk change of ligature setting in fonts?
HI – But when I do that I get a message saying, "Multiple fonts are currently selected". So it lets me do nothing. Is it that way for you, too, if you have more than one font in the document? yes ligatures are font related - not changing your text. There is just a mechanism to change norma...

HI -
regarding ligatures - you can switch ligatures (if offered by a font) ON/OFF.
