INTRODUCTORY Question

Hi all,
Friends This is my first attempt with NISUS application before going further i wish anyone could answer my preups query since i was using MS Word 2007 before my requirement is as follows
1. In Header i want it to display [LAST MODIFIED/SAVED Date Time]. In word when user pass print command it automatically update the values
2. In Header to display [WordCount, CharacterCount] no need for it to be real time, last time saved status value will be fine
3. Header should also display [HOST NAME] or User Name

All this facilities worked smoothly in MS WORD2007 but for some reason i dont wanna use MS OFFICE, kindly guide me right with your experience.

Hi Haneef, and welcome to the world of Nisus. In Word, you have a feature called "fields", and these fields can update automatically. Nisus Writer Pro, on the other hand, does not support fields, at least not yet, so I'm afraid that most of the things you are asking for cannot currently be done in NWP. However, I guess that #2 could be achieved through the use of macros. Maybe someone who actually knows about macros can point you in the right direction.
