It isn't clear to me whether saving a document to the document manager (one already saved elsewhere) simply creates an alias in document manager or creates a whole new document in document manager. I think it is the latter.
If it is the latter, how do you place an alias in the document manager? I need to do this to avoid the confusion of having multiple documents with the same name in my files.
Indeed, it places the entire document in there and not just the alias. If you only want an alias, save the document in your preferred folder, create an alias in the Finder and drag that alias into ~/Documents/Nisus Documents. This alias will be treated as a special file in the Document Manager, meaning that if you delete the file in there, the original file will be moved to the trash, *not* the alias.
It is a duplicate of the original. I think it would be best to create a submenu item so you can save the file as either a duplicate or an alias, like this:
File > Save in Document Manager > As a Duplicate ... or, As an Alias.

This is a bug, and a bad one at that. We'll fix this for the NWP 1.1 official release.
