Some Pallette groups do not close when selecting tool closeT

The Table, Language, Indexing, and Columns Pallettes will not close when I select the Tools Icon to close. What am I doing wrong? Perhaps these four palettes should not be selected?

I think probably the most likely explanation is that you've set those palettes up as floating palettes. The "Tools" button in the toolbar only hides and shows the tooldrawer, which contains all your docked palettes. If indeed your palettes are floating, you'll want to use the menu Window > Palettes > Hide Palettes to hide them.
