I reinstalled Leopard, not archive and install, because I was informed there was not enough space, and just reinstalled over the old Tiger system. When I open Nisus Pro, I am asked to enter a serial number. No big deal, I have it handy. I am just trying to figure out how the MAC works. My guess is that I have to move preferences from the old system to the new. And if so, which ones?
For example, I see
Previous System/Library/Preferences/ (many kinds of .plist files)
Previous System/Users/MyName/Library/Preferences
All advice is welcome.

Re: Preferences, Preferences..
When you install a new copy of the system generally all your preferences should remain intact, since the settings stored in "/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences" should not have been affected. I'd actually be surprised if any files in "/Library/Preferences" were deleted, but I don't know what Apple does. I suppose it's possible that installing a new system might have wiped out your Nisus Writer license key if you'd installed it a "computer" type license, instead of "personal". But it's really nothing to worry about, all your other NWP settings are stored in your user's home directory.
