Is it possible for list numbers to be bold while the remainder of the paragraph is plain text?
(It appears the answer is No because you cannot apply any formatting to a list style in "style sheet view".)
Please consider this a feature request: the ability to apply a character style to list numbers different from the character style of the paragraph containing the list number.

Re: List numbering style
Select the sample text inside the box of a list style in Style Sheet view and apply bold (Command-b).
The bold will only apply to the list numbers without affecting the rest of paragraph styles.

Thanks, Hamid, that did it!
The key was your instruction to select the sample text in the field below the name of the list style in Style Sheet view. Without selecting that text, the character formatting menus and palettes were grayed out!
(The user manual says you can apply formatting to list text, but it doesn't explain how to do it.)
Thanks again!
