Compare/Diff Documents, and other useful macros

Post by martin »

I just wanted to let everyone know we've updated the macro repository with some useful new macros, most of which come to us by way of Kino, a very dedicated user and macro fanatic :) Some of my favorites:

Compare Documents - Compares the two frontmost document windows and shows the differences between them.

Select by Font - Shows a list of all fonts used in the document and allows selecting the text they are applied to.

Find All and Show Context - Finds all matches and displays them in a list, including the text that appears just before and after the match.

Reveal Document in Finder - Shows the active document's file in the Finder.

"Select by Font" macro useful to detect unintended fonts

Post by Bob Stern »

This macro is extremely useful to detect whether a document includes fonts that you don't intend. This can happen if you paste into your NWP document some text from a document created by another person or text from a web page.

Thanks, Kino-san!

Revision Date of Macros

Post by Bob Stern »

Martin, it would be helpful for the repository to include the revision date of each macro in parentheses to help us recognize whether a given macro has been updated since we last downloaded it.

Martin,

This one alone makes NW one of the best collaborative apps around. And the others are great for working on long documents.

Thank you to all that worked to make them!
