Is there a way to see original comments in a .docx from NWP?

Hi,

I love Nisus Writer Pro, but some times it's crazy with the Word compatibilty issues. This time, I have a .docx document with comments. Nisus Writer opens the document, but it won't recognize the comments at all. NeoOffice converts the comments into inserted smaller text. The only program, so far, that fully recognizes the comments as such is Pages.

I have also opened the .docx document on Word for Windows, saved it as RTF from there, and opened it again with NWP. Now I can see properly all comments. Nevertheless, I would like to be able to see the document comments from NWP from my own Mac from the begining, instead of going through all those converting steps.

Is there a way to do so, or not?

At this time I'm afraid there's no way for NWP to directly import comments from ".docx" files- sorry. But we're aware that docx is becoming (or already is) an important file format for our users.

I'm forced to collaborate, for work reasons, with many Word users. But thank you for telling me that. I'll keep it in mind.

NWP does import comments from Word ".doc" files just fine, if you could request that format from your collaborators. Of course, I understand you might not be in a position where making that request is realistic.

Yes, I noticed that .doc files are imported correctly. Nevertheless, as you said it, I'm not in the position to ask everybody to send me documents in .doc format. Most of them will keep forgeting it, or won't be able to do it. I also tried Zamzar, but the letters with accents were substitued by strange characters.

So, why don't you guys find a solution for the problem? I am having it, too, just like many others, I would suppose.
