Hello All,
Quick question: is there anyway to set up a keyboard shortcut for the 'dropper'. I can't seem to locate it in the menus and no menu location is mentioned in the manual as far as I can tell.
Thanks,
Josh
Dropper . . .
Re: Dropper . . .
There does not seem to be a keyboard shortcut that will make the Dropper behave as it does. However, the features of the Dropper are available with the shortcuts Command-alt-c which copies the attributes of a selection just like when you make a selection and press the Dropper.
Then to transfer the attributes gathered by Command-alt-c to another selection, press Command-alt-v
The only difference is that instead of dragging the mouse to make a selection and transferring the attributes at the same time, you have to make a selection first and then press Command-alt-v

Hello Hamid,
Thanks for the helpful information. Unfortunately, I need the ability to 'paint' the attributes onto the text (basically highlighting a lot of non-consecutive words which I use in my lectures) using a tablet and stylus. The dropper generally works fine, but is a bit sensitive (or, I'm a bit clumsy), and it often 'empties' when I don't mean for it to, and I have to 'refill' frequently. That was why I hoped there might be a short-cut for it—or someway to paint selected character styles.

After gathering the attributes with Command-alt-c, if you hold Command and drag the mouse, you can have multiple non-contiguous selections.
Then press Command-alt-v to transfer the attributes to the multiple selections.
To select non-contiguous individual words, hold Command and double-click the individual words.
Then press Command-alt-v to transfer the attributes to the multiple selections.
To select non-contiguous individual words, hold Command and double-click the individual words.

If you hold the CMD (apple) key while clicking on the dropper to paste format, then you don't have to refill it each time.goldste4 wrote:Hello Hamid,
