I've written an academic book manuscript in Nisus Writer Pro, but need to convert it to Word. All kinds of problems. The document has 3 sections (the second is where the endnotes go, and the third is the bibliography.)
- Times New Roman (italic) is replaced with Times New Roman Italic (Italic) -- for some reason, Word won't let me convert it back.
- same for (bold)
- Word only recognizes two sections (2 & 3 are now together) and will not allow me to insert a page or section break anywhere in that section
I've tried saving the document as a Word file in Nisus Writer Pro, and I've tried opening the Nisus file with Word. Both methods give the same results, and the same problems.
I'm not looking for someone to tell me how to make Word do what I want, I just want to know how to export this file in such a way that Word can deal with it!

Re: Nisus Pro to Word Conversion problems
Have you tried to "Export As" a Microsoft Word Format (binary)? This may work better than Saving As MSW Format.

Yes, I did try that, and got the same result. All three methods -- same result. Frustrating, since Word compatibility was big selling point here...

Re: Nisus Pro to Word Conversion problems
I'm sorry you're having trouble Scott. Have you tried simply saving the file using the RTF file format? That's the file format Nisus Writer does best with, and Word does a good job of reading it.
If you still have troubles when using RTF, would you be able to send us your document privately so we can take a look? Also, what version of Word are you using exactly?
