I have just acquired a new MBA (13" 256GB storage ... wow, is it fantastic? ... The poor old MBP is really going to languish except for special jobs that need even more screen real-estate!), and wish to transfer the templates I have set up in NWP to the new machine. I have: copied them over into the "Nisus" folder accessed by the document manager; moved them into a "Templates" folder within the Nisus folder; I have tried moving some into ~User/me/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer/ where Nisus New File is to be found ... but only thing that appears under "Templates" in the document manager is Nisus New File ... I haven't managed to get them to appear there, which is where I want them.
How do I do it?
Mark
PS Other manufacturers like Samsung are going on about their "iPad-killer" ... I suspect Apple has created its own iPad-killer in the 11" MBA.
I think you should tell NWP that your Nisus Documents folder has moved. Open Prefs then click on the Doc Manager tab. Click on Choose… and select the new location. Guess this is it.
Thanks Henry. I'm afraid I did this, when I first set NWP up ... I'll try again. It is showing the files in question as "Managed Files", just not under the "Templates" selection.
The "Templates" group in the Document Manager actually doesn't automatically include any files except for the Nisus New File. If you want to have it show some other files, just drag-drop the file into the Templates group. You can drag from pretty much anywhere, eg: another group in the Document Manager, the Finder, etc. Dropping a file into the group will record an alias.
I hope that helps. Oh, and enjoy that new MacBook Air!
Also you can right-click on the template icon in the Document Manager and choose Add Files to Group… from the menu.
To think that I have four template groups in my DM!
What I found in the end is that I should open them each in turn and re-save them back using "Save As in Document Manager" putting them in the "Templates" subfolder, and now they appear where I want them. Good thing there were only about 10!
You don’t strictly have to open each and every file. Just go to the Document Manager and click on the + sign on the lower left corner. Click on Add Special Group and select Template from the drop-down (that should be the only option), then click on Add Group. A new group called Templates appears in the left pane. Right-click on the group’s icon and select Add Files to Group…. An open dialog appears. Select all of the templates, wherever they are (you can select multiple files at one time) and import them into the group. Double click on the group’s icon to customize its name if you need to. You’re done.
As Martin said, you can drag the files from the finder onto the group’s icon too, as if it were a folder.
Cheers, Henry.

Thank you people ... all those answers while I was using the slow way to do it, 'cos I needed to get back to work using the MBA, and the Nisus Forum was on the MBP. You can tell: (1) I've never had to do anything like that before; (2) I wasn't really looking too closely at the interface as my thoughts were elsewhere; (3) this great forum is a quicker way of getting answers and help than RTFM-ing!
And Martin, I loooove the MBA. It is so light, so fast, so clear ... and I have found I get 9 hours work out of a full battery charge, 4 of them lectures driving the OHP and with a private wireless network running so I can control keynote from my iPhone.
