Adding more colours to "highlights"

Is there any way to edit the colours that appear in the highlight icon? The default ones are OK, but I'd like to be able to choose other ones directly from the highlight icon instead of having to choose "show highlight colours" and then choose another one.

Hello, Jester.

You can change existing colors, not add new ones. Here’s how:

• Open the Preferences pane.
  Click on the Appearance tab.
  Click on Highlighters at the bottom of the pane.
  Click on any highlight color and then on the swatch to change color.
