Command to Redo, but in a different context? (~Control-Y)
Command to Redo, but in a different context? (~Control-Y)
As a convert from Windows WORD to Mac and NWP, I often wish there were some way in NWP to Redo the last action, but in a different context. This is not Shift-Command-Z, which is basically "Go back to what it was one step earlier". Rather, in WORD and Excel and maybe other MS products, when you select Control-y, even though your cursor is in a different place (say, different text is selected), you can repeat the last action. So if you just highlighted with a certain color one piece of text and you move your cursor to another piece of text and select it, when you use Control-y, the newly selected text gets the same color as the last text you highlighted. Anyway, I've not yet been able to find this function in Mac apps, and I miss it. It can really save time fumbling through drop down lists for an action you may only use once in a while, but now need to use on various sections of text.

This would be a nice feature to add: a menu for "Repeat Last Command". It's definitely on our list of enhancement requests.

Thank you, Martin. I'll look forward to it.
