Hi,
When I copy and paste a piece of text that is underlined in 2.0, the underlining is missing from the pasted version. I'm just using paste, not paste and match style. Is this a bug?
Thanks.

Re: Pasting Underline in 2.0
It could be a bug, but let's make sure. Where does the text come from? Are you just copying text that was elsewhere in your NWP document? Could you send me the document for testing, or post it here? Thanks, hopefully we can get this figured out.
Re: Pasting Underline in 2.0
I'm afraid I can't post the document as it's of a sensitive nature.
To hopefully answer your questions:
It's a 619 page rtf document (It opens and works pretty much instantly by the way). There is only text, and only one font.
I copy a section of text, of which one line is underlined. It's normal text, not a heading or anything.
I hit control N to open a new blank document. I then paste the section (control v) into the new document. It appears perfectly, and is formatted perfectly like the original, but the underlining is missing.
I tried underlining another line to see if it made a difference, and that wasn't pasted over either.
Thanks.

Re: Pasting Underline in 2.0
Is it perhaps a style change that makes the difference? For example, let's say you copy some text in the "Heading 1" style from your source document and paste it into a different destination document. If the "Heading 1" style is configured differently in the source/destination documents, the pasted text's displayed formatting may change (eg: that Heading style might be underlined in the source document, but just bold in the destination document). Does that make sense and possibly explain what's going on here? Remember that character styles (eg: "Emphatic") are designed to behave like this too.
If that doesn't explain the situation, I'm probably going to need some kind of sample document so I can see what formatting is involved. If the document is sensitive, I can promise to delete it after testing. You could email it to me directly at:

Thank you for your reply. I don't think it could be what you suggest as the source document is just normal text underlined. As for the new doc which I'm pasting too it's a blank new doc. Plus I have my new doc file template set up to have no styles i.e. I deleted every style from the style sheet, and this is default.
I'll try and get a sample over to you.
