Footnote and Endnote creation is blocked and the menu commands grayed out in a document that I converted from Word and then changed the font-- if any of that is relevant. I've used Nisus Pro for years and not seen this happen before, yet it must be some quirky little thing I did without being aware of it. Existing footnotes in the document seem to operate fine; I can edit them, but just not create new notes. Notes do work in other documents.
Any help much appreciated!

Re: footnote function disabled in one document
Hi Clayton- I haven't seen that either. I take it that the menu Insert > Footnote (and Endnote) is disabled? Just to check the obvious: are you sure you're in a document area where inserting footnotes is allowed? For example, one can't insert a footnote in a header, table, or nest footnotes inside one another.
If that checks out, could you send me the file via the menu Help > Send Feedback? Thanks.

Martin, thanks for fielding this so quickly. I have sent the file along (I think). Right, I'm familiar with where and when you can create a footnote, so it's not quite that simple-- although it must be something simple since I don't think there is anything else acting funny.

I'm afraid I haven't received your document through the feedback reporter. Did you receive a confirmation email that your report was transmitted? Perhaps you can try again.
