New page number within same document (NWP 1.4.2.)

Post by Jester »

Hi all!

I have this 'huge' document, ca. 190 pages (my second MA dissertation :)), and I need to start the pages with 'lower case roman' (i, ii), and then, after page viii, switch to normal Arabic ones. I tried doing the restart thing and all that but it didn't work, so, help please?

Tack!

Daniel

Page number formats (eg: "1, 2, 3, 4" vs "i, ii, iii, iv") are controlled in NWP using sections. So at the end of page "vii" you'll need to insert a section break (whether that be a "same page" or "next page" section break depends on your document).

Once you have that section break inserted, just place the selection/caret (insertion point) anywhere in that second section, and use the Sections palette to change the page number format (and restart if you wish).
