I'm in the process of formatting a survey instrument. I'm trying to use a one-row table to keep the response options evenly spaced under each question. The problem with doing it this way is that the amount of space Nisus is putting above and below the table is excessive for this purpose. It greatly reduces the number of items I can get on a page.
Is there a way to reduce the amount of space---the line hieght?---above and below a table?
Thanks,

Re: Decreasing space above and below a table
I discovered the solution myself. Pretty simple. Just drag the table where I want it---in this case closer to the item text.
Perhaps obvious to most. If not, perhaps this will be of help.

Re: Decreasing space above and below a table
Thanks for the followup Eric. That's exactly right, you can drag the table origin's hotspot upward to reduce the vertical space between it and the previous paragraph.
If you don't like the table, another possible solution is to use tab stops (preferably enforced via a paragraph style). I'm attaching an example so you might see how this works. The upside is then you'd have full control over the line height, paragraph spacing, etc. The drawback is that longer answers (eg: that overflow the expected answer width) would cause formatting headaches.
