Still finding my way about NWP, but I'm hitting a real problem importing Pages documents. I run OSX 10.7.4. I suspect there must be an obvious answer, but so far I haven't found it. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Re: Pages importing
I'm afraid Nisus Writer does not import the Pages file format (.pages), which is a closed proprietary format designed by Apple. You'll have to save/export your document using Pages itself, perhaps saving it as a Microsoft Word (.doc) or RTF document before opening it in Nisus Writer.
Re: Pages importing
Thanks for that explanation. I feared as much. However I have more than a hundred Pages documents to import. Is there a macro that would allow for a one-tap conversion from Pages to RTF and import to Nisus? Or is this impossible?

Re: Pages importing
You'll basically need to work with automating Pages. I'm no expert in such things, but looking around google I found some scripts.
I took one such script from this discussion and saved it as a droplet, which I'm attaching here. Basically you'll want to drag-drop all the ".pages" documents onto the downloaded (and extracted) droplet icon. The script will then process each of those files, converting it to a ".doc", saved with the same file name, in the same folder as the original.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Pages importing
Thanks so much. You've given me two solutions - I'm waiting for the droplet to download, meanwhile I'll try from the Pages side.
