Writer Pro (2.0.4) on Mac OS X 10.8.2.
While trying to write in Hebrew in Number (or bullets) List justified text, the first line is never justified. The rest of the paragraph seems to be justified OK.
Here's a simple text showing the problem. I'd really love to find a fix for this.
Thanks,
First line in a Number List is not Justified (Hebrew)

Re: First line in a Number List is not Justified (Hebrew)
This looks like a bug in Apple's text engine, which Nisus Writer uses to layout text. You can observe the same problem in TextEdit:
You're right that the list items seem to be causing the trouble, though looking a little bit deeper it seems that any tab stop character (which list items use internally) throws off the justification. We'll report the bug to Apple and hope they can fix this, since it's unlikely we'll be able to workaround it ourselves.Re: First line in a Number List is not Justified (Hebrew)
Thanks for your reply.
This is very unfortunate, since Hebrew justified text in number list is a vital feature for me, and I couldn't find any workaround.
Do you think this could really be fixed sometime soon?

Re: First line in a Number List is not Justified (Hebrew)
It's possible this will be fixed, but honestly I wouldn't expect a fix "soon". Even if Apple wants to fix this, they may not consider this kind of bug to be a priority. That said, there is some hope; Apple does read our bug reports. I just don't want to inflate your expectations.
It's a pity we can't workaround the problem ourselves, but text justification occurs at a low level in the text engine. So while we get justification for free, the behavior is not something we can modify.

Well, I'm sure to buy Writer Pro once this bug is fixed. I really like it, and it does look much better suited than Mellel (which I have) and the like.
Thanks for your replies, Martin.
