difficult Esport as ... with MSWord

Post by gnoli »

I tried to export two files NWP->MSWord both .docx and .doc. The result was terrible: the better one had line numbering activated and I was not able to disactivate it in MSWord. I have exported a lot of file from NWP to MSWord in the past. Is this a issue of some upgrade?

When NWP exports a document using the DOC or DOCX file format, it is reliant upon the LibreOffice-based importer/exporter. That is always getting better, but depending on your document's complexity and needs for fidelity, there may be shortcomings.

If you want to get a document from NWP into Word, I suggest that you use the RTF file format. Word has excellent support for opening RTF documents, and RTF is NWP's native file format. That means we have complete control over the whole process; if there are any fidelity issues we absolutely will take a look at fixing them.

Please let us know if you continue to have problems, even after trying RTF.
