Unnumbered Note
I am submitting to a journal and need to include an unnumbered endnote as the first note. This is for acknowledgments; the actual citations, et cetera, will follow beginning with note 1. Is there a simple way to do this?
Re: Unnumbered Note
Insert this note in the normal way.
Then place the cursor anywhere in the text of that note or select the note reference in the body.
Then, from the Endnote (green) tag in the Statusbar (at the bottom right of the document window) apply the menu 'Set Custom Note Reference ...'
Enter the custom text for the note's reference. (for example, *).
This will not affect the sequential numbering of the remaining endnotes.
