I'm running the latest Yosemite beta, and I think Nisus's behaviour has changed under the OS but I'm new to the app and not entirely confident this isn't my mistake. Any tips welcome – thanks!
I had Nisus set to Canadian English by default, and every time I launched Nisus, that language choice would appear as the flag displayed bottom-right. My laptop OS is set to British English, but I didn't encounter any conflict.
Now when I launch Nisus, it always reverts to British English. Changing the flag or language in preferences to Canadian is immediately cancelled on quit and re-launch.
This is small-fry stuff, but I prefer Canadian spellings (-ize > -ise is the main difference, if you're curious).
How can I get my preference to stick, please?
language choice not 'sticking'
Re: language choice not 'sticking'
I think I've figured out what's going on:
Language appears to be a file attribute, rather than an application-wide one. I twigged that not every file I opened was behaving this way, and then that the ones that did were not ones that I first authored.
So ... no bug, and no problem.
I'm still new to Nisus, but enjoying the clarity of the formatting tools and process.
