search replace for paragraphs that include a footnote

Hello,
I'm importing a huge document that has tons of block citations that I'd like to quickly format into their proper style. They will always look like

texttexttextCOLON LINEEND
text text text text FOOTNOTE LINEEND
texttexttext

I am trying to do a search and replace
:\n(?:.|\n|\f)+$

but nisus does not find any paragraphs that have a footnote reference in them.

Is there a way around this?

Wow! It shows how little I use footnotes. I had never noticed this before.

Anyhow I am not sure if this is exactly what you want, but the following macro will select paragraphs that end with a footnote and have a colon at the end of the paragraph before (or did you want that paragraph selected as well?)
