I honestly don't know what happened, but all of the sudden I can't open Nisus. I'll install it again, but this is quite strange. Here's the error message:

Ok, for some reason there are two Nisus Pro applications in my computer, Nisus Writer Pro (0400.0504.01) which doesn't open, and Nisus Writer Pro which does open. I guess it's due to an install error?

^ Now it's the other way round, 0400 opens, other one doesn't. Slightly annoying.

Delete both NWP and then reinstall NWP again and make sure you only got one installed on your computer.

The error/crash log you posted indicates that your copy of NWP is missing a key resource from its application bundle. Specifically Sparkle, the automatic update framework that NWP uses. There's no legitimate reason for that to be missing.

Peter's suggestion is a good one: delete your copies of NWP and download a fresh copy. Let us know if you continue to have problems.

Thanks, worked fine with a reinstall.

Now I have the problem. There's only one copy of NWP (2.1.3) on my computer. When I try to open NWP the "Nisus Writer Pro unexpectedly quit" screen opens. When I click on "Reopen" I'm repeatedly taken back to the screen. I've deleted my NWP 2.1.3 and re-installed it. That didn't help. I've "zapped the PRAM." That didn't help. Twenty-plus years of files are now inaccessible. Please help.

I'm sorry for the trouble. The problem was caused by an Apple update that disabled the ethernet port on some Macs. Apple has since posted instructions on how to fix the problem.

As for Nisus Writer, it should not have been affected by Apple's bad update. That's our bug, and is something we will have fixed in the next update. If you still have troubles with Nisus Writer, or can't follow Apple's instructions to fix your Mac, please write to us privately at:
