automatic new document

I've just upgraded to 2.1.4 and notice that NWP automatically opens a new document based on my template if there are no files open. This happens both if I tab though to NWP and if I double-click on a file to open it (if there are no files already open).

Can I stop this? I generally don't want it, particularly in the latter case. I can't see anything obvious in the preferences.

Try Preferences-> General. Under the "Application" section, there's a menu for "on application activation" which will allow you to select "Do Nothing" if you want.

I think that should handle what you want.
