I run a small literary magazine. Contributors often send me papers with footnotes, and send the file as an attachment to an email, writing their files in a version of Microsoft Word that produces .docx files. I use a Mac, and Nisus Writer Pro. When I automatically convert the file to RTF format using Nisus Pro, the footnotes often disappear. Everything else comes though okay; and I usually convert this file to HTML and publish it via WordPress, and ask the author to proof-read it. But then the author lets me know that the footnotes are missing!! Is there some way to prevent this happening?

Imported footnotes from say docx files?
Re: Imported footnotes from say docx files?
It may be that your import filters need to be set correctly to give a more complete import.
Set the filters to LibreOffice from NWP Preferences=>Advanced.
