multi notes per line/space

i use in this document several notes per line, but i got an extra space between notes (in blue in screen shot. Where can i change the length of this space??Thank's

I'm afraid there's no direct way to control the space between such footnotes, if you have enabled the option to show multiple footnotes on a single line. Currently those footnotes always have the same amount of space between them. If you want more space between such footnotes you'll need to manually add whitespace characters (eg: type some spaces) at the end of each footnote.

I'll consider your question a request that we add such a feature. I'll file it as a future potential enhancement. Thanks!

the horizontal space between notes, where "One note per line" has been unchecked, is too big. Aesthetically unappealing, it makes this feature now unusable. This was different in Nisus 2, if I remember right.

We already complained about this last December with screenshots and asked you to file this as a feature request. Maybe you missed that thread?
The discussion there puts the problem into a larger context of Nisus not supporting more than one Footnote style per document. It's a detailed thread, worth reading, I believe.

You remember correctly: this behavior was different in version 2. However, I don't think the situation was better. Instead of a fixed amount of space between footnotes on the same line, version 2 would allocate a variable amount of space, based on the next automatic tab stop location.

We really just need to add a preference to control this via the note styles. It should be up to the user to decide how much space to use.

Nisus Writer Pro version 3.1 adds an option to control how much horizontal space is used between notes on the same line. You'll see it in the Style Sheet view, for each note style, labelled as "Horizontal Spacing".
