Simple footnote formatting question

Post by Frank Einstein »

Question concerning formatting of footnotes in the note area (not the main document).

How do I place a period after the note number so that it appears like this:

1. Text of the footnote here.

My footnotes now appear like this (without the period):

1 Text here.

Probably a simple setting, but I haven't found it yet.

G'day, Frank et al

View > Style Sheet > Note Styles > Footnote

Replace "xxx" in the attached screenshot with whatever you want to precede the footnote content. In the present case, it would be a period followed by a space.
