Question concerning formatting of footnotes in the note area (not the main document).
How do I place a period after the note number so that it appears like this:
1. Text of the footnote here.
My footnotes now appear like this (without the period):
1 Text here.
Probably a simple setting, but I haven't found it yet.

View > Style Sheet > Note Styles > Footnote
Replace "xxx" in the attached screenshot with whatever you want to precede the footnote content. In the present case, it would be a period followed by a space.
